Overview

Offline Mode ensures you can capture leads, navigate routes, and work productively even without internet connection. This is critical for real estate professionals driving through areas with poor cell coverage or to conserve data while in the field.

  • Smaller file size than native apps

Setting Up for Offline Use

Pre-Trip Preparation

Essential Steps:

  1. Download your route
  2. Cache map tiles
  3. Sync leads
  4. Charge devices

Recommended:

  1. Download neighborhoods
  2. Cache photos
  3. Sync recent changes
  4. Test offline mode

Downloading Routes

Method 1: Individual Route

  1. Open route you plan to drive
  2. Click "Download for Offline"
  3. Progress bar shows download
  4. Checkmark when complete
  5. Route available offline

Method 2: Bulk Download

  1. Go to Routes page
  2. Click "Offline Manager"
  3. Select routes to download
  4. Click "Download All"
  5. Wait for completion

What's Downloaded:

  • All route stops
  • Lead details for each stop
  • Map tiles along route
  • Turn-by-turn directions
  • Property photos (optional)

Downloading Map Tiles

Coverage Area:

  1. Go to Map View

  2. Click "Offline Maps"

  3. Choose download method:

    • Current View - What's visible
    • Route - Along planned route
    • Neighborhood - Entire neighborhood
    • City - Whole city (large download)
    • Custom - Draw boundary

  4. Select zoom levels:

    • Basic (Z10-14) - 20-50 MB
    • Standard (Z10-16) - 100-200 MB
    • Detailed (Z10-18) - 500+ MB

  5. Click "Download"

  6. Progress bar shows status

Storage Estimates:

  • Small neighborhood (1 sq mi): ~50 MB
  • Medium area (10 sq mi): ~200 MB
  • Large city (100 sq mi): ~2 GB

Tips:

  • Download on Wi-Fi (faster, no data charges)
  • Standard zoom usually sufficient
  • Update maps monthly
  • Delete old maps to free space

Syncing Leads

Automatic Sync:

  • Opens app → auto-syncs
  • Background sync (every 15 min)
  • Manual sync anytime

Manual Sync:

  1. Pull down to refresh (mobile)
  2. Or click sync button
  3. "Last synced" timestamp shows when
  4. Green checkmark when complete

Pre-Trip Sync:

  1. Before leaving:

    • Open app on Wi-Fi
    • Wait for "Synced X min ago"
    • Verify recent leads visible

  2. While connected:

    • Complete any pending uploads
    • Download priority content
    • Verify storage space

Storage Management

Check Storage:

  1. Go to Settings → Offline
  2. View storage usage:
    • Map tiles: X MB

Free Up Space:

  • Delete old offline maps
  • Remove completed routes

Using Offline Mode

Offline Indicators

Connection Status:

  • 🟢 Green cloud - Online, synced
  • 🟡 Yellow cloud - Syncing...
  • 🔴 Red cloud with slash - Offline
  • ⚠️ Warning icon - Pending uploads

In-App Messages:

  • "You're offline - Changes will sync when connected"
  • "X items pending upload"
  • "Last synced: 5 minutes ago"

Capturing Leads Offline

Full Capture Capability:

  1. Take photos (stored locally)
  2. Record GPS coordinates
  3. Add notes and details
  4. Set priority and status
  5. Save lead (stored in queue)

What Happens:

  • Lead saved to device storage
  • Marked "Pending Upload"
  • Appears in your lead list
  • Syncs automatically when online

Offline Capture Tips:

  • Take photos liberally (storage allowing)
  • GPS works without internet
  • Voice notes if typing difficult
  • Use standard fields for faster sync

Following Routes Offline

Pre-Downloaded Routes:

  1. Open route from list

Editing Leads Offline

  • Edits saved locally

Syncing When Back Online

Automatic Sync

When Connection Detected:

  1. App shows "Syncing..."

  2. Uploads pending changes:

    • New leads
    • Edited leads
    • Photos
    • Route progress
    • Settings changes

  3. Downloads new data:

    • Team leads
    • Shared routes
    • Analytics updates
    • System notifications

  4. Resolves conflicts (if any)

  5. Shows "Synced" when complete

Conflict Resolution

What are Conflicts:

  • Same lead edited offline and online
  • Different versions of data
  • Requires user decision

How Conflicts Handled:

  1. App detects conflict
  2. Shows notification
  3. Presents both versions
  4. You choose:
    • Keep offline version
    • Use online version
    • Merge changes
    • View differences

  • Review conflicts immediately
  • Merge when both have value

Offline Map Features

Downloaded Maps

Access: Settings → Offline Maps

View Downloaded:

  • List of saved map areas
  • Download date
  • Size on disk
  • Expiration date (if any)

Update Maps:

  • "Update" button per map
  • Or "Update All" for all maps
  • Recommended monthly

Delete Maps:

  • Swipe to delete
  • Or "Manage" → Select → Delete

Map Styles Offline

Note: Satellite images are much larger downloads

Zoom Levels

Understanding Zoom:

  • Z10-12: City level
  • Z13-15: Neighborhood level

Storage Impact:

  • Each zoom level = exponential data
  • Z18 = 4x data of Z17
  • Download only what needed
