Overview

The Map View provides an interactive, visual representation of all your captured leads plotted on a map. This powerful tool helps you understand lead distribution, identify target areas, and plan efficient routes through neighborhoods.

Map Interface

Main Components

1. Map Canvas

• Provider: Mapbox GL (interactive, modern mapping)
• Default View: Centers on your leads with optimal zoom
• Controls: Pan (drag), Zoom (scroll/pinch), Rotate (right-click drag)

2. Control Panel (Top Right)

• Zoom In/Out - Buttons for zoom control
• Fit to Bounds - Auto-zoom to show all leads
• My Location - Center map on your current position
• Map Style - Switch between map styles

3. Filter Panel (Left Sidebar)

• Status filters
• Priority filters
• Property type filters
• Date range filters
• Quick filter presets

4. Lead Counter (Top Left)

• Shows number of visible leads
• Updates with filters
• Click to view list

Using the Map

Navigation

Pan (Move Around)

• Desktop: Click and drag
• Mobile: Touch and drag with one finger
• Keyboard: Arrow keys

Zoom

• Desktop: Mouse wheel or +/- buttons
• Mobile: Pinch to zoom or tap +/- buttons
• Keyboard: + and - keys
• Double-Click: Zoom in on that location

Rotate (3D View)

• Desktop: Right-click and drag
• Mobile: Two-finger rotation gesture
• Reset: Click compass icon

Finding Your Position

Enable Location:

1. Click "My Location" button (target icon)
2. Grant location permission (if prompted)
3. Blue dot shows your position
4. Map centers on you

Update Position:

• Position updates automatically as you move
• Manual refresh: Click "My Location" again
• Accuracy indicator shows GPS precision

Lead Markers

Marker Appearance

Clustering

When zoomed out, nearby leads group into clusters:

Cluster Display:

• Circle with number (e.g., "15")
• Size indicates number of leads
• Color based on average distress/priority

Cluster Colors:

• 🟢 Green: Mostly low priority (1-5 leads)
• 🟡 Yellow: Mixed priority (6-20 leads)
• 🔴 Red: Many leads or high priority (21+ leads)

Expanding Clusters:

• Click cluster: Zoom in to expand
• Hover: See lead count (desktop)
• Clusters break apart as you zoom in

Individual Markers

When zoomed in, see individual lead markers:

Pin Icon: 📍
Color Coding:

• 🟢 Green - New, low priority
• 🟡 Yellow - Researching, medium priority
• 🟠 Orange - Qualified, high priority
• 🔵 Blue - Contacted
• 🟣 Purple - Offer made
• ✅ Green (checkmark) - Deal closed
• 🔴 Red - Dead lead
• ⚫ Gray - Archived

Size Variations:

• Standard: Normal lead
• Large: High priority
• Small: Low priority

Hover (Desktop)

• Tooltip appears with basic info
• Property address

Opens popup with lead details:

• Header: Property address
• Photo: Primary property photo (if available)

Switch Styles:

Getting Directions

To a Single Lead

1. Click lead marker on map

2. Click "Get Directions" in popup

3. Choose navigation app:

   • Google Maps
   • Apple Maps
   • Waze
   • In-app directions

4. Follow turn-by-turn directions

Troubleshooting

Map Not Loading

Symptoms: Blank map or spinner

Solutions:

1. Check internet connection

   • Map tiles need internet (first time)
   • Offline maps work without connection

2. Verify Mapbox token

   • Admin: Check environment variables
   • Token must be valid and active

3. Clear browser cache

   • Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows)
   • Cmd+Shift+Delete (Mac)
   • Clear cached images

4. Try different browser

   • Chrome recommended
   • Update to latest version

Leads Not Appearing

Symptoms: Map loads but no markers

Solutions:

1. Check filters

   • Active filters may hide leads
   • Click "Clear All Filters"

   • Leads need lat/long to display

   • Recapture with GPS enabled

3. Zoom out

   • May be zoomed too far in

4. Refresh page

Slow Performance

Symptoms: Laggy map, slow rendering

Solutions:

1. Too many leads visible

   • Use filters to reduce count
   • Zoom in (enables clustering)
   • Archive old leads

2. Device performance

   • Close other apps/tabs
   • Restart browser
   • Use desktop for large datasets

3. Map style

   • Switch to "Streets" (fastest)

GPS/Location Issues

Symptoms: "Location unavailable" or inaccurate position

1. Grant permissions

   • Browser needs location access
